Reimagine What's PossibleJob Purpose: Partner with Air Products Process Operators to perform work in a team environment following operating disciplines, procedures, and practices to ensure a safe and efficient operation of the plant and assigned duties.Process Technician Intern Essential Functions/Basic Duties:Monitor process conditions, equipment, and control systems as well as, training, and troubleshooting of related equipment and plant processes.Assist with tasks assigned to operations such as field checks, equipment preparation, permitting, lock out tag out, and inspections.Use various controls systems to monitor, control and adjust equipment operations for boilers, air systems, reactors, pumps, exchangers, and compressors within established standards.Assist operators in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues within the plant.Cooperate with maintenance to safely minimize outages of equipment.Perform all duties with a high degree of dedication to safety and environmental stewardship including reporting of near misses and incidents.Process Technician Interns Essential Job Requirements:Education/Experience:HS Diploma/GED.Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from an Associates of Applied Science in Process Technology (PTEC) program at an accredited community college.Must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or higher.Required Skills/Qualifications:Ability to demonstrate basic computer skills, math and problem-solving skills, mechanical, numerical, and verbal aptitude.Must have the ability to understand, analyze and resolve technical problems.Must have strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.Must have ability to ensure a safe work environment by working safely, and complying with all environmental, health and safety standards.We are the world's largest hydrogen producer with over 80 years of industrial gas experience.
