Job Summary: (includes but is not limited to the following, other duties may be assigned)

Provides engineering and technical support for new projects and build outs. Works to help (i) identify and further develop new and existing technologies, (ii) provide applications of these technologies, and (iii) help determine advisability of moving forward with projects utilizing such technologies. Analyzes technical aspects of projects and provides costs and budgeting to be applied to planning and cost analytics for projects. Ensures (i) spending within budgets, and (ii) schedules and performance standards are set, maintained and achieved. Develops SOW technical scopes for third party contract resources supporting development cost build and analytics.

Maintains the efficiency of important aspects of the project management process such as planning, scheduling, coordination, and budget, and risk assessment. Defines and develops project management best practices, processes, and policy to ensure alignment with corporate strategy and goals. Partners with multi-departmental leadership and other stakeholders to locate opportunities and develop and prioritize projects according to relevant measurement criteria.

Collaborates with Power Ops business personnel to continuously improve processes; initiate and implements new methodologies, process and procedures that support company long, mid and short term goals; and prepares, analyzes and reports project status to the senior management. Works closely with Dir Project Management & Development.

Uses independent judgment requiring in-depth evaluation of variable factors. Independently selects methods, techniques, analytical approach and evaluation criteria.

Determines methods and procedures for new assignments.

Serves as project/technical lead on medium to large projects; regularly coordinates work of professionals, technicians and others outside of own department.

Trains and mentors employees on technical skills.

Collaborate and solve problems – works with others to resolve significant issues, clarify or interpret complex information, provide initial screening/negotiations.

Job Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent, prefer Master’s Degree.

Previous project management experience.

Expert in the utilization of advanced design and analysis tools

Typically requires minimum of 8 to 10+ years in area of specialization.
