As an Energy Auditor you will be inspecting energy efficiency projects incentivized by Eversource to ensure complete and thorough projects have been installed for our customers. At these inspections you’ll also take the opportunity to screen customers for additional energy savings measures they may have yet to take advantage of.

This role may also include the management of inspection vendors who conduct inspections on behalf of Eversource.

This is a hybrid role. The first three months are full-time in the office/ on-site visits.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct inspections and energy audits for C&I customers to ensure the correct installation of any current projects and identify additional energy savings opportunities for the customer.Demonstrate knowledge of complex building mechanical systems including boilers, chillers, energy management systems, and other equipment.Accurately collect any customer feedback and ensure that customer complaints follow any necessary investigative procedures.Drive customer engagement by conducting energy audits and providing accurate and actionable information to the implementation teams.Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure inspection and audit feedback is incorporated into program design.Develop and enforce quality assurance/ quality control goals for program partners and vendors along with the implementation team.

Qualifications:

Technical Knowledge/ Skills:

Self-starter who takes initiative to work independently.Ability to interface effectively and collaborate with clients, peers, project personnel and all levels of management.to develop program-wide policies and procedures, demonstrated ability to take initiative and accountability for results.Basic knowledge in the areas of lighting, HVAC & fluid handling, refrigeration, compressed air systems, as well as a background with control methodologies and systems, familiarity with engineering economic analysis and manufacturing and industrial processes.Demonstrated knowledge of fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, and heat transfer in relation to energy efficiency in commercial and industrial buildings.Familiarity with accepted energy engineering and HVAC industry standards, including applicable energy relevant building codes.Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Suite ApplicationsBonus - Working knowledge of Salesforce reporting and/ or PowerBI

Education:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.Preferred: Degree in chemical, electrical, energy, mechanical, or industrial engineering or in environmental science

Experience:

Required: 3 plus years of experiencePreferred: Previous auditing, building science, or product installation experience

Licenses & Certifications:

Preferred: CEA/ CEM certification

Compensation and Benefits:

Eversource offers a competitive total rewards program. The annual salary range for this position is $101,000 - $113,000 plus incentive. Salary is commensurate with your experience. Check out the career site for an overview of benefits.
