GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES: The Administrative Assistant assists with processing registration records, faculty records applications and other student records, maintains and sets up files for new students, greets visitors, forwards telephone messages, inputs data related to student applications and degree plans, assists in developing and maintaining data reports and follows up on incomplete files. This person also assists with registrations and graduations.
SPECIFIC TASKS AND DUTIES:
Assist with faculty records, registration records, student grades and other assigned tasks in timely and accurate mannerAssists the campus business officeAccurately input student records data.Follow up with students on incomplete filesMaintain existing files and make them readily available to staffTake incoming phone calls tactfully and courteously; process calls to the appropriate staff/ faculty member.Tactfully greet students, prospective students and refer to the appropriate staff/faculty in a courteous mannerAssist with registrations which would include performing related assignments accurately and without delayAssist with graduations which would include performing related assignments accurately and without delayPrepare yearly objectives in a timely mannerAssist with updating this positions job description as requiredEnsuring the whiteboards, classrooms and offices present a clean work and study environment.Travel may be required as determined by the supervisor or dean
