This position will see to the day-to-day functions of employee interactions, hiring onboarding new hires, and employee relations inquires.Position OverviewWe are looking for a Senior People Generalist with exceptional communication and administration skills. The People Generalist will handle all written and verbal employee queries with the utmost confidentiality, and partner with the Director of People, in designing, developing, and launching key talent programs, to support company growth and expansion.Responsibilities may include but are not limited to, attracting and souring top talent, onboarding new hires, developing and coaching employees, and supporting leadership with key talent activities.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesEmployee RelationsProcess and maintain employee documentation complying with appropriate guidelines for attendance, absenteeism, time off, leaves, and performanceEducate and assist managers and employees on HR policies, plans, programs, practices, processes, and tools (e.g., compensation, development, CBA, EEO)Promote a harmonious work environment by suggesting sound personnel policiesEthics, Compliance, and PoliciesAdministering/interpreting company policies and assisting the Director of People in employment issues, labor law and employment law compliance related investigations and hearings.Maintain current knowledge of Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) and Affirmative Action guidelines and laws, such as the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).Partner with the Director of People to review and update company handbook and policies, when neededPartners with People admin to administer leave requestsHRIS/ReportingPartner with People Admin on deploying, and maintaining HRIS systems and modules, based on business needsPartner with Director of People to design and develop People dashboard to measure key talent trendsTeam ResponsibilitiesPartner with People Admin to maintain accurate internal team documentation, not limited to standard operating procedures (SOPs), employee personal files, and internal team project managementActing as the first point of contact for Wisconsin-based employeesHiring and OnboardingDrives and improves recruitment process from creating job descriptions and postings, sourcing top talent, automating activities, analyzing job boards and making recommendations, to onboarding for all new hiresPartner with hiring managers and people admin to provide streamline onboarding and offboarding experience for new hires and current employees; develop and maintain onboarding processes, resources, and toolsCreate metrics and presentations surrounding the improvement of recruitment, retention, and attritionDesired QualificationsBachelor's degree or equivalent experiencePreferred SHRM-SCP and/or SHRM-CP Certified3+ years' experience in generalist role demonstrating progression in responsibilities, supporting union and non-union employeesPreferred experience working in a union manufacturing or distribution facility2+ years of proven success in recruiting sourcing roleDemonstrated ability to keep sensitive information confidentialSkillsDecision Quality
