Voice Test Engineer (NJ, Egg Harbor Township)

Voice Test Engineer:ATEC is looking for an Engineer to perform system testing for the Federal Aviation Administration's (FAA) voice program. Candidate will support the technical performance testing of the Air-to-Ground protocol converter (Converts EUROCAE ED-137C VOIP audio and signaling to analog voice and discrete control signals for FAA Radios) and Ground-to-Ground Protocol Converters (Converts EUROCAE ED-137C VOIP audio and signaling to telecommunications trunk audio and signaling for interfacing between FAA ED-137 compliant VOIP Voice Communication legacy telecommunication trunks).ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:+ Planning, developing, and executing Operational Test (OT) which validate Operational Suitability of ATC systemsKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, and ABILITIES:Required:+ FAA Test & Evaluation (T&E) experience of ATC Communication Systems+ Experience with IP to analog or discrete signal conversion delay, voice delay, idle channel noise, impulse noise, AGC, intermodulation distortion, and encoding/decoding of EUROCAE ED-137 messagingHIGHLY DESIRED SKILLS:+ Knowledge of EUROCAE ED-137 and VoIP+ Knowledge of current FAA Radio Control Equipment functionality and associated maintenance techniques via the Maintenance Data TerminalEDUCATION/YEARS of EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:+ Bachelor of Science in Engineering and twenty (20) years of related work experienceSECURITY REQUIREMENTS:+ US Citizenship or documented proof of eligibility to work in the US+ Applicants selected will be subject to a government investigation+ Has been living in the US for at least the past 3 yearsWORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL DEMANDS:+ Works indoors in office conditions primarily sitting/standing for prolonged periods+ Must be willing to travelBENEFITS:+ Health insurance+ Dental insurance+ Vision insurance+ Life insurance+ 401(k) matching+ Tuition reimbursement+ Paid time off+ Referral Bonuses+ Employee assistance program+ Employee discount program
