LEAR STERLING HEIGHTSAs a member of the Lear Sterling Heights team, the Cost Accountant will be responsible forfinancial reporting and analysis of the plant. Providing reporting and analysis to facilitate critical business decisions based on financial data. Supporting plant operations by providing actionable information on key performance indicators and trends. Communicating with and coordinating plant and division functions that promotes organizational success. The ideal candidate would be a self-starting individual who excels in a fast pace and ever-changing environment. Problem solving ability, accuracy, and follow through are important traits for success in this position.The Role:Your work will include, but not be limited to:Participate in the monthly, quarterly and year end close process to ensure adherence to the financial statements' compliance in accordance with US GAAP and SOXHelp ensure plant compliance with all company internal controls and drive compliance throughout the organizationMaintain records of fixed assets and tooling programsTrack and report all capital projects completed in the facilityCreate and verify the accuracy of month end journal entries and account reconciliationsSupport the semi-annual physical inventory to ensure accuracy of recordsAssist with adherence to purchasing procedures and supplier discrepanciesAssist with customer billings and recordsResponsible to support various meetings, ad hoc projects and/or requests from plants, division, and corporateOther duties as assigned by the Controller or Plant Manager

Your Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance1-2 years of Accounting or Finance experienceStrong Microsoft Excel skillsProven analytical, communication and organizational skillsAbility and willingness to work a flexible and/or changeable schedule, especially during the month end close process
