The Materials Aircraft On Ground (AOG) Coordinator reports to the AOG Supervisor and Materials Manager and is responsible for the sourcing and coordinating logistics of critical parts requirements to minimize aircraft unscheduled ground time. This entails sourcing aircraft parts, transfer of parts, initiating purchase orders and borrow agreements, exchange orders, expediting existing orders.Here's what you'll do
Procure and ensure timely delivery of materials to meet AOG requirements in order to avoid the negative operational and fiscal impact from delays or cancellations resulting from partsOversee all material requirements during AOG situationsCoordinate MEL, CDL, and NEF materials requirements with Maintenance Operations Control (MOC) to ensure parts are available to support maintenance scheduleFollow up to ensure supplier and delivery commitments are metCoordinate and expedite transfer of partsExpedite open purchase ordersCoordinate the acquisition of loaner parts from other airlinesCreate borrow and rental ordersReview billing for accuracyTrack and control all loaned and borrowed partsEnsure all borrowed parts are returned to the appropriate provider as requiredMinimize borrowing events and the duration of each event to control costSupervise the movement of parts via the domestic and international transportation networkEnsure the most effective shipping strategies are in place to expedite the delivery of parts and lower the cost of transportation and increase efficiency of transfers within MaterialsServe as liaison between Maintenance Operations Control, Planning, Maintenance, Purchasing, and Repair/Warranty teamsParticipate in the daily Operations meetings to communicate status of requested materialsProvide all required departments with current status of open requisitions and purchase ordersReview all purchase requisitions for content, accuracy, interchangeability, and the level of urgencyMonitor current stock levels and usages, to determine the necessity of requestsCoordinate and communicate with Materials Receiving on receipt of purchase orders; resolve any discrepancies with vendors on quantity, pricing, or documentationEvaluate purchases to ensure compliance with all Federal Regulations and Breeze policies regarding quality, documentation, and traceabilitySeek out and evaluate new sources of supply vendors to achieve cost reduction goals without impacting quality and deliveryIdentify opportunities for cost savings and service improvementsPerform any other duties as required or directed by the Materials ManagerEnsure productivity, safety, and quality goals are achieved through a process of continuous process improvementAssist in the recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training of Team MembersAchieve performance measures and adhere to established standards in conjunction with Breeze Aviation Group Values of Safety, Kindness, Integrity, Ingenuity, and ExcellenceHere's what you need to be successful
Minimum Qualifications3+ years of experience in airline/aviation materials handling or procurement2+ years of purchasing experience and/or inventory planning and logisticsGeneral understanding of FAA regulations, including FAR part 121 operationsMust be able to pass a ten-year background check and obtain an airport security badgeMust possess a valid state-issued driver's license and have an acceptable driving recordHigh-performance orientation, ability to work well under pressure, prioritize projects, meet deadlines, and maintain flexibilityStrong attention to detail, organization, and time management skillsSelf-starter must have a positive attitude and strong desire for successComplete projects on time with minimal supervision, ability to work varied hours when necessary to meet deadlinesPreferred Qualifications
4-year degreePrevious supervisory or lead experiencePrevious experience with sourcing and managing materials for AOG eventsPurchasing and supply management professional certificationTRAX experienceSkills/Talents
