LC State invites applications for the position of Electrician.
Salary and rank based on experience and qualifications: $55,000 - $60,000.
Required Qualifications:
Possess an Idaho Journeyman Electrician License per Idaho Code, Title 54, Chapter 10.Have at least two (2) years experience working in the electrical maintenance or construction trade.Be able to bend, stoop, climb, and work from ladders, lifts, or scaffolding.Be able to lift 90 pounds.Be able to work in confined spaces and dirty and loud environments.Be able to perform journeyman-level installation and maintenance of industrial and domestic electrical systems, equipment, and devices.Be able to perform the physical requirements as published by the State for an Electrician(at this link: .Preferred Qualifications:
Associate's degree preferred.Strong communication skills.Ability to work with other trades within the department to achieve shared goals.Ability to work independently, coordinate and facilitate solutions, and analyze and resolve complex electrical issues.Ability to read and decipher construction plans and specifications, and review for compliance with campus standards.Attention to detail.Familiarity with web-based work order systems.Responsibilities:
Additional duties include direct and indirect activities to support recruitment and retention of students.Completes assigned maintenance work orders.Assists with materials acquisition and cost estimating to fulfill work orders.Properly maintains campus facilities to ensure a safe working and teaching environment.Provide customer service to building patrons.Monitor facility use and ensure conformance with policies and procedures, and applicable building and electrical codes; perform facility maintenance, and perform related work.Support campus events; provide temporary power for vendors, and assist with event setups and tear-downs.Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties, or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
