Position:
3rd shift, Sunday- Thursday, 10:00 pm- 6:30 amThe custodian cleans facilities, removes waste and recycling, and monitors building security and safety by performing such tasks as locking doors after operating hours. Ensures cleanliness, orderliness, and safety in assigned areas.Essential Job Functions

Job responsibilities include:Utilizes basic equipment and supplies to clean assigned facility areas and remove waste and recyclablesMonitors and secures facility interior and exterior entrances and reports issues to appropriate entitiesMaintains organization of supply areas and equipment, documents inventory, and requests additional supplies as neededDocuments and reports repairs, violations, and pest control needsMaintains clean and clear walkways to ensure they are free of debris, litter, snow, and ice
The Facilities Management Department is a key part of the University that ensures the campus roads are clean, that utilities like water and electricity are operating effectively and efficiently, and that our campus is clean and beautiful. The work environment for this position is predominantly indoors. Exposure to dust, odors, moving mechanical parts and noise is common.Qualifications

Education- H.S. Diploma PreferredDemonstrated experience with basic cleaning and disinfecting best practicesDemonstrated experience with the use of custodial cleaning equipmentDemonstrated experience with the use of snow removal equipment
