Provide event management services on the moderate to large range, supporting the Office of the President's initiatives. Provide counsel for Georgia Tech clients and internal constituencies utilizing Georgia Tech facilities and off- campus venues. Provide institutional leadership in event consultation and planning, arranging for technology support, and training resources for internal and external peers and colleagues. This position will interact on a regular basis with: Cabinet-level administrators and support staff, College deans, associate deans, and their support staff, meeting space sales management, meeting organizers, vendors, and technology providers.This position typically will advise and counsel: Internal and external operations vendors, meeting organizers, department and unit-level event colleagues, support personnel, and vendors.This position will supervise: NA.Job Summary
The Institute Events Coordinator Senior reports to the Director of Institute Events within Institute Communications. This role will lead Institute-wide events including award ceremonies, town halls, fireside chats, and commencement. Preferred candidates will have experience managing a variety of events, strong customer service skills, and are comfortable being in a lead or support role for events.Responsibilities

Support the Office of the President and Institute goals, confirming scope and intended outcomes and determining resources required for Institute events."Job Duty 2 -
Arrange all event logistics, including, but not limited to, catering requirements, facility set-up, parking, security, audio visual/entertainment, etc.Job Duty 3 -
May coordinate attendee travel arrangements.Job Duty 4 -
Supervise student assistants and event volunteers.Job Duty 5 -
Provide training and resources for unit- and department-level event staff.Job Duty 6 -
Determine resources required and prepare event schedule based on client needs and facility availability.Job Duty 7 -
Design, create, and support communication methods/promotional materials (print, website, etc.).Job Duty 8 -
