The Material Handler will also receive, sample, store and distribute raw materials, supplies, and packaged in-process and finished goods within the facility.Job Details

Role Specific Responsibilities:Ensures workplace safety by making Behavior Based Safety Observations, and practices and follows all site safety policies, guidelines, and proceduresFollows all Aurorium current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP)Adheres to all Aurorium Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)Prepares, inspects, and ships all customers orders in strict adherence with company and customer requirementsLoads and unloads trailers per DOT and company requirementsEnsures carriers safely enter and exit the facility, and confirms that carriers are aware of plant safety requirementsConducts and ensures cycle counts are accurate for tracking inventoryMoves material, including finished products, in-process materials and raw materials from receiving/warehouse and production areas from/to approved storage locationsTakes samples of raw materials and other materials for analysis as necessaryCompletes shipment preparation, receiving of materials and supplies, generates and applies product and shipping labels based on customer shipments, communicate with customer service, fellow supply chain team members and/or carriers as neededPacks and prepares sample ordersCoordinates warehouse storage to facilitate location of items for shipping and production purposesUses forklift truck to move and stack filled/empty drums or containersAssists in cross-training team members and co-workers as neededUnderstands and executes Emergency Response procedures to mitigate unplanned eventsMaintains outstanding housekeeping and 5S, keeping workspaces clean, orderly and tidyCompletes other project work as necessary to support safe operations within the job responsibilitiesCompliance:

High School Diploma or equivalent requiredAdditional IATA, IMDG, DOT, and Forklift Certification required1 year of experience in a chemical or manufacturing plant, ideally in a warehouse is preferredExperience driving a Fork Truck safelyExperience with Emergency Response, warehousing, DOT and general chemical manufacturing background desiredExperience wearing required PPE including safety glasses, hard hat, steel toe shoes, gloves, and a respiratorStrong organizational skills and attention to detail with the ability to adapt quickly to changing business needs and prioritiesSelf-motivated and ability to work within a fast-paced environmentStrong mechanical aptitude and mathematical skillsAbility to execute strenuous, sometimes repetitive physical work such as lifting, pushing or pulling objects up to 55 pounds, working outside in all weather conditions, climbing ladders, standing, reaching, etc.Willingness to work extended hours, weekends, and/or overtime as neededAbility to stand and ride forklift for long periods of timeEmbodies the core values of Aurorium:credible: keeps their word and honors their commitments, acts with integrity, and holds themselves accountable to their decisions and actionsoutcome-oriented: adheres to an unparalleled standard of excellence in everything they do, to deliver results with real impactdriven: passionate about delivering authentic, world-class experiences that engage customers and inspire greatnessempowered accountability: empowered to achieve common goals and accountable for delivering performances and results that exceed standard.
