Admissions Coordinator

Duties Include:
Assess inquiries and respond to referrers as a priority
Work with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate client flow
Ensure an immediate response to phone, fax and walk- inquiries and referrals
Coordinates tour, application, and sales process with customer, families and referrers
Meet with client and families on day of admission. Facilitate an initial introduction to the nursing staff on the unit
Communicate admission criteria to referral sources, clients and families
Work with administrator and appropriate staff to ensure consistent, effective admission, discharge, and transfer meetings
Maintain statistics indicating potential client flow, pending and lost inquiries, denials, hospital discharges, and marketing information
Work to initiate, nurture, and maintain contact with physicians, social workers, and discharge planners
Coordinate and participate in presentations about the facility to hospitals and physicians
Requirements/Qualifications:
Ability to make great independent decisions
Strong leadership and supervisory skills
Computer savvy - proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
