Senior Data Scientist needed by TaxAct, Inc. in Coppell, TX [and various unanticipated locations throughout U.S.; may work from home] to deliver models to optimize marketing spend, create personalized engagements, and drive customer retention across both our tax preparation and wealth management businesses. Responsible for providing data, performing data analysis and statistical modeling, and utilizing machine learning. Deliver statistical models to drive organizational insights and key business actions. Partner closely with the business including marketing and product teams to understand and optimize the customer journey. Provide insight into market segmentations, customer journeys, and the customer experience with a high level of accuracy using analysis, predictive modeling, and machine learning. Assemble and clean data for modeling purposes. Write and interpret complex SQL queries. Complete model selection, build, and testing. Engage with the broader data science organization to support, refine, and test large-scale data science projects. Deploy visualization techniques to deliver insights to end-users. Summarize and report key analytical findings and recommendations in both oral and written forms to various technical and non-technical teams. Design, code, implement, and maintain analytical and machine learning applications utilizing data to provide valuable insights. Provide necessary documentation and upgrade to newer technologies based on project needs. Extensively work on projects using Python, R, SQL, Machine Learning, data mining, data transformation and processing, Tableau, SVN, Git, Oracle, AWS, Snowflake, and MS SQL Server. Analyze large amounts of information to find patterns and solutions. Carry out preprocessing of structured and unstructured data. Process, cleanse, and validate the integrity of data to be used for analysis. Develop prediction systems and machine learning algorithms. Present solutions and strategies to tackle business challenges. Utilize statistical modeling techniques including regression, classification, hypothesis testing, and unsupervised learning. Provide necessary documentation and upgrade to newer technologies based on project needs. Work on projects using Python, Tableau, R, SVN, Git, Oracle, and MS SQL Server.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Requires a Masters degree, or foreign equivalent degree, in Statistics, Data Analytics, Information Systems, or Engineering Management and one (1) year of experience in the job offered or one (1) year of experience in a related occupation providing necessary documentation and upgrading to newer technologies based on project needs; and working on projects using Python, Tableau, R, SVN, Git, Oracle, and MS SQL Server.
