to members of our community who are unhoused or experiencing poverty.
We've successfully provided these lifesaving services for 45 plus years, everyday providing a lifeline to our most vulnerable neighbors. As a Program Specialist you will be responsible for the day-to-day care of the residents of one of our youth housing programs. Your impact will be felt in your ability to maintain a comfortable, safe, and supporting space. You will closely with other staff on daily intakes, completing data entry, mentor residents in a variety of areas, and much more!
Program Specialist roles are available for either Part Time or Full Time across all our Youth Housing Programs.
Responsibilities
Conduct initial intakes and complete paperwork for new residents upon arrival.
Attend all weekly staff meetings and mandatory trainings.
Ensure accurate and timely data entry in Efforts to Outcomes (ETO).
Record daily activities, progress, and significant resident issues; update incoming staff and review logs at the start of each shift.
Greet visitors and callers promptly and professionally, providing assistance as needed.
Supervise and enforce Night Ministry policies, procedures, and house rules consistently.
Assist residents in developing basic life skills and arrange transportation for appointments and activities.
Ensure residents' safety, report incidents promptly, and strive for continuous improvement in facility operations.
Demonstrate consistency, fairness, firmness with kindness, clear boundaries, tolerance, flexibility, and professionalism.
Coordinate with volunteers and promptly inform case management of resident issues.
Qualifications:
Program Specialist must fully align with TNM's strategy and mission, showcasing leadership, coaching, and donor management skills.
High School diploma or equivalent required.
At least 1 year experience working with at risk youth, must be recent (Volunteer experience counts).
Crisis intervention training a plus.
Ability to pass DCFS licensing requirements.
Current driver's license and proof of insurability.
First aid/CPR training a plus.

Compensation Range: $19/hourAdditional Information:
