Job Overview:
In this role, you will manage project costs, prepare financial reports, and ensure the financial success of construction projects by applying your accounting expertise. Your attention to detail and proactive financial management will help maintain our reputation for excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage the integrity of general ledgers and correct balances as needed.
Support month-end and year-end close processes, maintaining account analysis.
Prepare mid-month Pro Forma Income Statements and assist in external financial audits.
Assist with budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis with department managers.
Work on special projects, process improvements, and cost-reduction strategies.
Track construction progress, costs, and cash flow, and provide financial support for contracts and bids.
Train staff on financial policies and maintain financial confidentiality.
Position Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
4-5 years of accounting experience, preferably in construction.
Experience using Paycom is a plus!
Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., Vista Viewpoint) and MS Excel.
Strong understanding of GAAP, job cost accounting, and construction processes.
Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and communication abilities.
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
