Come join our Venice Family Clinic (VFC) team as an Assistant Clinic Manager and make a difference in the community. As an Assistant Clinic Manager you will:
Coordinate the daily clinic operations at a VFC clinical site, as well as provide direct services.
Assist the Site Manager (who may be located at a different site) in ensuring efficient and high quality operations and services.
Support the Site Clinical Lead (physician or nurse practitioner) to ensure efficient coordination, management of workflow, efficient implementation of new services, and management of operations staff as prescribed by VFC's protocols, policies, and procedures.
Report to the Site Manager and provide guidance and motivation to operations staff, including Patient Services Representatives, Care Coordinators, and/or Medical Records.
Salary Range: $68,799.60 - $141,002.64 Annual
Senate Bill 525 was signed into law by Governor Newsom in October 2023. Starting June 1, 2024, SB525 sets a new $23 minimum wage for nonexempt healthcare workers and raises the exempt employee salary threshold to $1,380/week (equivalent to $5,980/month or $71,760/year).
As defined under SB525, healthcare workers are defined as employees who are involved in the provision of 'health care services,' which means 'patient care-related services including nursing; caregiving; services provided by medical residents, interns, or fellows; technical and ancillary services; janitorial work; housekeeping; grounds keeping; guard duties; business office clerical work; food services; laundry; medical coding and billing; call center and warehouse work; scheduling; and gift shop work; but only where such services support patient care'.
Employees (career, contract, student, per diem) in the UCLA Health medical facilities (e.g. Ronald Reagan Medical Center, Santa Monica UCLA Hospital, Resnick Neuropsychiatric Hospital, etc.) meet these criteria.
Qualifications
Required:
3-5 years of experience in a healthcare or medical setting
Proficient with MS Office programs, including MS Word, Excel, and Outlook
Excellent customer service skills
Ability to solve problems in a timely manner and take initiative to make processes and programs better
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Preferred:
Bilingual in English and Spanish
Ability to use data for decision making and knowledge of process improvement methodology
Experience supervising staff
