Deliver, evaluate, revise, develop, coordinate and/or assess curriculum, workshops and other learning experiences for statewide Prevention and Protection Services (PPS) and contractor staff. Update Prevention and Protection Services training curriculum based on changes to policy, the practice model, the latest evidence and research in the child welfare field. Participate and/or facilitate regional and statewide workgroups and events. Provides learning workshops to organizations or community groups. Prior experience working alongside families using the tools and strategies of the practice model is a critical component of the work. Technical ability to facilitate workshops and other learning opportunities in-person, virtually, and blended formats. Participates as a team member in the assessment of abuse and neglect allegations with a minimum of 5 Kansas families, utilizing practice approaches in the Kansas Practice Model.
Qualifications
**Education: At least a four-year degree in a Human Services or Behavioral Sciences field of study as listed below:\ Bachelors in Social work; Psychology; Sociology; Science, Child Life Specialist; or Science, Gerontology; or\ Masters in Social Work; Professional Counseling; or Marriage and Family Therapy Licensed Behavioral Sciences Regulatory Board (BSRB) professional.\ **(Transcripts required, see below.)
Minimum Qualifications:
Two years of experience in developing and delivering training materials and presentations. Education may be substituted for experience as determined relevant by the agency.One-year experience within a child welfare agency.One-year experience in delivering workshops and/or presentations
Preferred Qualifications: One year of experience with Child Protective Services in Kansas Licensed through the Kansas Behavioral Sciences Regulatory Board in Social Work. Marriage and Family Therapy, or Professional Counseling

Security Clearance: A background check (KBI - criminal background, welfare fraud, driver\'s license and Child/Adult Abuse and Neglect Central Registry) is required for all positions with the Department for Children and Families (DCF) as a condition of employment, which may include fingerprinting and FBI check. Security clearance must be obtained prior to employment with DCF. Must maintain security clearance throughout employment.Tax Clearance: Candidates offered employment in a State of Kansas position will need to apply for a Kansas Tax Clearance Certificate within 10 days of being offered a position.
