This position maintains the SCCM deployment environment and will work within the CAB process to handle all Microsoft and 3rd Party updates to desktops and/or servers in the DCF, KDADS, and Hospital enterprises, including patching updates, and mitigating security risks. Provides technical assistance for the user's computer equipment for the DCF, KDADS, and Hospital enterprises. This is considered Tier 3 support. Duties include, but aren't limited to, resolving cases, request, incidents within the ServiceNow incident tracking system, provide onsite and remote troubleshooting, and fixes to resolve computer issues/security risk/managing reporting. This position is responsible for developing desktop as a service (DTaaS) images for DCF, KDADS, and hospitals (and other state agencies as needed).

Qualifications
Education**:
Associate's degree, Computer Science, or related degree - plus two years' experience in assisting computer users in a distributed computing environment. Education may be substituted for experience as determined relevant by the agency.
Minimum Qualifications:
Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in IT system administration roles. Experience in administering Windows Server and/or Linux/Unix operating systems, including installation, configuration, and troubleshooting. Experience in network administration, including TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, VPNs, and firewall configuration. Experience with server virtualization technologies such as VMware or Hyper-V, including virtual machine provisioning and management. Experience in managing and maintaining Active Directory services, including user account management, group policies, and security configurations. Experience in implementing and managing backup solutions for data protection and disaster recovery. Experience in managing and maintaining data center hardware, including servers, racks, power distribution, and cooling systems.Experience with Scripting and Automation (e.g., PowerShell, Bash): Ability to automate routine tasks, streamline system administration processes, and facilitate hardware management. Experience in implementing and managing patch management processes to ensure systems are up-to-date and secure. Experience with IT security principles and practices for maintaining a secure IT environment using IT security standards such as NIST 800-40. Experience in maintaining accurate hardware inventory records and tracking equipment lifecycle.
