Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Data Scientist I to join our team in the Laurel, MD area. The position is part of a team that provides systems engineering, software development, configuration management and application testing support for a Weapons and Space software development effort.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Performs advanced data analysis and modeling on complex datasets to drive data-driven decision making within the organization
Evaluate, optimize, and/or develop models that are tailored to the mission set of the customer
Works closely with cross-functional teams that include business owners, Data Engineers, and other IT stakeholders
Implement statistical models and provide actionable insights to optimize business processes
Collaborate with other Data Scientist IIs and take direction from more senior personnel
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in a STEM field and 2 years of experience, or four (4) additional years of experience are required in lieu of degree.
Associates degree and two (2) additional years of experience are required.
Ability to obtain one of the following certifications within 6 months of commencing work on the Task Order: Security+ CE, CySA+, GICSP, Security+ CE, CND, or SSCP
Preferred Qualifications:
Vendor tool certifications appropriate to TDL requirements; e.g., Oracle and Mongo
Security Clearance Requirements:
Must have a current and active TS/SCI with polygraph.
The projected compensation range for this position is $109,100.00-$181,100.00. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories. In addition, ManTech invests in it’s employees beyond just compensation.
