Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Data Scientist to join our team in the Patuxent River/Lexington Park, MD area. This is a hybrid position.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Developing techniques or analytic applications to transform raw data into information that can be utilized to respond to program related questions.
Applying data mining, data modeling, natural language processing, and machine learning (ML) to extract and analyst information from large structured and unstructured datasets.
Visualizing, interpreting, and reporting data findings to the government customer to facilitate identification and determination of impacts to their program, next actions, update requirements and timelines.
May create dynamic data reports and presentations to be provided to program customer(s) and leadership during meetings.
Minimum Qualifications:
A minimum of four (4) years of experience in interpretation and analysis of data sets.
Must have experience working in Microsoft products, specifically Access, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and Word.
A Bachelor of Arts (BA) or Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in a Technical or Scientific area is required.
Must be able to report to customer site a minimum of three (3) days per week.
This position may require travel within the United States (less than 10%)
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience collecting and analyzing Navy aviation data is highly desired.
Experience using Navy and Government databases such as DECKPLATE, IETMS, FRACAS, etc.
Familiarity with NATIPS and NATOPS
Clearance Requirements:
Must be a US Citizen
Secret clearance is required to perform work on this contract.
Physical Requirements:
Tasking is primarily computer based. The person in this position must be able to operate and perform tasking on a PC.
Must be able to effectively communicate with co-workers, Customers, and management through email, phone, and other virtual communication methods (e.g. TEAMS).
For all positions requiring access to technology/software source code that is subject to export control laws, employment with the company is contingent on either verifying U.S.-person status or obtaining any necessary license. The applicant will be required to answer certain questions for export control purposes, and that information will be reviewed by compliance personnel to ensure compliance with federal law.
