DIS is currently seeking a Senior Graphic Designer to join our Design and Digital Services practice. The right individual has a strong background in developing and coordinating graphic design products in support of marketing, communications, or outreach campaigns, typography and layout, and visual storytelling with the ability to brainstorm and present original ideas.

Essential Duties
Coordinatewith delivery teamstoexecute effective graphic design for communications and marketing campaigns on client and in-house projects. Projects may include fact sheets, flyers, posters, web banners, icons, infographics, and diagrams depicting programs, products, or business workflowsand/or processes.Act as a visual storyteller, offering creative solutions based on written and visual content, written scripts, or input from stakeholders.Generate creative and original ideas for reaching and engaging target audiences and communicating key messages.Brainstorm, create, and present design solutions to clients and/or delivery teams.Guide products frominceptionto completion, ensuring quality control and consistency on final projects.Coordinate, supervise,and ensure quality controlof other designers'graphic design productsto meet the expectations of delivery teams/clients.Develop templates and format Microsoft Office document templates for reports, presentations, and proposals.Ensure adherence to accessibility laws prior to client delivery(including, but not limited to, 508 compliance).Ensure consistent branding on all materials prior to client delivery.Think critically and apply customer and industry insight to solve client problems creatively and quickly.
Required Experience and Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Graphic Design, Fine Arts, Photography, Communications, Media, or related field at a minimumA minimum of 5 years of experience working for a Creative Agency, PR/Marketing Agency, communications and marketing practice,governmentand/or government contractor, or non-profitExpertisein accessibility, includingSection 508 complianceExperience managing the graphic design roduction of a small teamAn electronic portfolio with strong work samplesSkilled use of Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign (at a minimum) in support of graphic design and other multimedia deliverablesStrong graphic design skills and the ability to design and develop in multiple print and digital mediumsExpert knowledge of Microsoft Word and PowerPoint to develop, design, and/or format reports, create templates, infographics, and diagramsStrong understanding of typography, layout, color, and aligning new materials to existing branding guidelinesStrong oral communication and presentation skillsMeticulous attention to detail with a high degree of accuracyMust be a team player with strong interpersonal skills, able to work in a collaborative, remote team setting or independentlyAbility to organize, coordinate, and deliver multiple complex projects/prioritiesand keep them on deadlineStrong work ethic with a commitment to client service excellenceApplicants must have the legal right to work in the US for any employer as sponsorship is not available for this positionAbility to obtain a US government security clearancePreference will be given to qualified Veteran candidates
