ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Assists Wellness Manager in daily work to run the wellness center Lead a range of group exercise classes for residents and employees Assist with performing Senior Fitness Assessments, charting outcomes, and designing workouts Assist Residents and Employees on the fitness floor for equipment orientations Work in administration of the department making charts, creating event posters and organizing programming for Resident's needs Assist with on campus events as well as off campus trips. Assist management with cleaning the pool and the pool deck Communicate safety hazards to the manager or maintenance in a timely manner Perform other duties as assigned by the Wellness Manager.
Qualifications
Requirements: BS in Exercise Science or another related degree required At least 2 years related experience required National Group Exercise Certification required National Aquatics Certification (preferred) MUST Be proficient at teaching senior fitness classes and the ability to use multiple computer programs. Demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work with a wide range of individuals. Strong leadership and organizational skills. Must be able to work independently as well as be part of a team.
