Development AssistantPosition SummaryThe Development Assistant for the Community Foundation Boulder County is an integral part of the development team. The Development Assistant is tasked with many of the key administrative responsibilities that ensure the smooth and effective management of all aspects of the development team.About Community Foundation Boulder CountyCommunity Foundation Boulder County is a community catalyst, responding to immediate needs and anticipating future challenges. As a collaborator and convener, we promote inclusivity and provide leadership on key issues, working with community‐ minded individuals and organizations that want to make a difference.Since 1991, Community Foundation Boulder County has worked with donors, nonprofits, civic leaders, and community members to meet the evolving needs of the Boulder County community. We nurture and activate the ideas, generosity, and leadership of the community to galvanize resources and support equitable solutions for all who live/work in Boulder County. The foundation has given out over $175 million since 2001.Roles & Responsibilities50% Administrative workAssistance with scheduling meetings for the collective Development TeamProvide technical support for Development Team meetings as well as committee meetingsAssist with coordination, execution and delivery of bulk mailings and newslettersManage administrative needs for events including communication with vendors, logistics, timelines, and deliveries, and general event supportAssist with grant applications and reportsFunction as the Development/Finance Team liaison and support assorted financial/data tasks30% Database administrationResponsible for all gift entry into CRM/accounting database (AkoyaGO)Provide donor call lists for the Development TeamMonitor, input, and update all donor information; including donor database and creation of donor reportsOrganize and maintain internal files, documents, and databases, specifically AkoyaGO20% Donor/client relationsManage donor communications including phone, general email, thank you letters and tax receiptingManage donor portal, assisting with donor issues and any updates or roll outsTake on additional tasks as directed by the CEO, VP of Development and/or other executive team membersSkills and CompetenciesBachelor’s Degree required, or equivalent experience1 year experience in a nonprofit role, or equivalent administrative or client facing experienceProficiency with working with databases and tools, such as Excel and WordExcellent oral and written communication skills and excellent phone mannerA professional and resourceful style; the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects at a time (without losing a sense of humor)Outgoing, positive personality with extraordinarily strong interpersonal skills and ability to interact with diverse internal and external audiencesAbility to work both independently without close oversight and as a team player who will productively engage with othersDemonstrates initiative and follow-through and will meet deadlines, strong attention to detail and project management skillsHigh energy and passion for CFBC’s mission is essential, including a commitment to seeking ways to create a more equitable Boulder CountyCompensationThis is a full-time position (100% FTE) or 40 hours a week. The salary range for this position is $50,000 – $60,000 commensurate with experience.
