We are currently looking for experienced Systems Engineers who are able to assume a lead role to support our Combat Vehicle and Naval Guns Product Lines. This position is currently working 3 days / week on-site and up to 2 days / week remotely on a 9/80 schedule with every other Friday off (100% remote will be considered) out of either our Minneapolis, MN or Sterling Heights, MI offices.

As a Principal Systems Engineer, you will:Direct or support requirements development and management.Develop and manage subsystem and component performance specifications by analyzing and deriving necessary requirements.Develop and maintain requirements verification and compliance, and supporting artifacts.Support requirements decomposition analysis to help drive concept architectures and system characteristics.Direct and facilitate architecture development of assigned system, subsystems, and components.Direct development and maintenance of interface requirements and interface design information for assigned sub-system, system and components.Document concept design decisions and support generating System/Subsystem Design Descriptions (SSDDs) and capability assessments.Coordinate and facilitate formal decisions and trade studies to drive design and document results.Support the monitoring of cost, schedule, and risk.Coordinate Systems Engineering activities to influence the design.Support vehicle level Systems Engineering activities and program milestone reviews.Here is a video to give you an idea about the work we do.#LI-HybridRequired Education, Experience, & Skills

Bachelor’s degree in engineering and 6+ year’s relevant experience.Systems engineering experience performing requirements analysis, derivation and allocation, and translating requirements to viable concepts design solutions within applicable constraints.Experience developing architecture concepts and evaluating alternatives.Knowledge of how to balance system design considering system concept of operations (CONOPS), performance, constraints, and logistics concerns.Knowledge of how to plan, conduct and document complex trade studies.Experience generating System / Subsystem Design Descriptions and capability assessments per the program statement of work.Excellent oral and written communication techniques.May consider candidates who do not meet all the above requirements for a more junior role or additional experience for a more senior role.Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering or Electrical Engineering with a Master’s degree in Systems Engineering.Experience with military vehicle systems.Logical architecture experience, including development of use cases.Experience in Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), including SysML methodology and tools like Cameo.Familiarity with Department of Defense Architecture Framework (DoDAF).Experience with DOORS requirements management tool.Have and maintain INCOSE Certified Systems Engineering Professional (CSEP) certification.Leadership and mentoring of engineers.

Pay InformationFull-Time Salary Range: $112420 - $191070

However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
