By Light is looking for personnel to support a U.S. Army information technology infrastructure program. The project includes conducting survey and design, engineer, furnish, install, secure, and test (EFIS&T) solutions to include non-secure internet protocol router (NIPR), secure internet protocol router (SIPR), Wi-Fi, Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP), Inside Plant (ISP), Outside Plant (OSP), and Voice Modernization at U.S. Army Base/Post/Camp/Station (B/P/C/S) across the Continental United States (CONUS).Responsibilities
Develops a system engineering plan and methods to modernize, upgrade, and enhance capabilities over the life cycle of the project.
Provide engineering support activities to include, but are not limited to, developing an engineering installation plan (EIP) and solution for implementation of the COMPMOD capabilities.Provides the fielding engineers all the necessary information required to perform the implementation action to include at a minimum: "as-is" and "to-be" physical and logical network architecture, integration Plan, Cyber Security artifacts: Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) checklist, internetwork operating systems versions, Plan of Action & Milestones (POA&M), list of hardware and software, etc., test plan(s), data connectivity plan, implementation plan, transition/migration plan, and installation team checklists.Conduct systems engineering efforts from concept development through final design for the COMPMOD Capabilities GENM-A and DoD guides, regulations, and policies to meet or exceed the Government's requirements.Utilize U.S. Army engineering processes during the development of all submissions; identify additional processes and documentation formats, as necessary.Recommends resolution of issues for program milestone decisions.Prepares, reviews, and delivers required reports and plans.Provides project support for reviews, conferences, briefings, and associated meetings.Required Experience/Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field IT, engineering, or technical field. An additional four (4) years of relevant experience allowed in lieu of a degree.Experience: Ten (10) years' experience as a Lead Engineer or leading projects of similar scopeCertification: Cisco Certified Internetwork Experts (CCIE) or Cisco Certified Design Expert (CCDE)Certification: DoD 8570 IAT III - CASP or CISSPCertification: DevOps certification from Cisco, Microsoft, or an industry recognized leader in DevOps.Preferred Experience/Qualifications
Supported the U.S. Army or other Federal Agency.Has the communication skills to effectively interface with senior military officials, managers, and subordinates.Special Requirements/Security Clearance
