Position Summary Under direct supervision by department leadership, performs phlebotomy collection of whole blood and apheresis products. Interacts with donors and coordinators, providing a high level of customer service to deliver an excellent donation experience. Takes pride in and is committed to delivering high quality services. Works cooperatively and is a supportive member of the team/group. Contributes positively to the achievement of team objectives. Incumbent may be responsible for driving, or providing effective interactions with Spanish speaking donors depending on qualifications and business need. Compensation \$17/hr. Shift differentials for evenings/weekends Hourly compensation increases offered for advanced phlebotomy skills training Schedule Must have availability from 4:00am-10:00pm, including weekends and holidays - hours vary daily Full-time opportunity (32-40 hours weekly) 5 days per week during training; 4 days per week following training Responsibilities Prepares collection site and performs set up, including technology systems (may include quality control). Performs donor screening (collects donor histories), mini-physical, and phlebotomy. Observes donors for reactions, provides reaction care and assists other staff in handling reactions if needed.
