Our client has an open search in their Manhattan office for a senior paralegal/case manager with securities or complex commercial litigation experience. This is an excellent career opportunity with a national plaintiff firm that advises institutional investors, pension funds, banks, and asset managers on sophisticated corporate governance, securities class actions, securities fraud, and shareholder rights claims.
5+ years of prior complex litigation experience and a strong cite-checking and Bluebook citation skillset is required for success in this role. The incoming paralegal will have an active role in litigation, collaborating directly with attorneys and other staff members to help push cases forward. We are seeking a paralegal who wants to work in a busy, dynamic, and collaborative complex litigation environment. Core job responsibilities include:
Conduct legal research and analysis on securities laws and regulationsProofread and cite-check/fact-check briefs, complaints, and other documentsManage and organize case files and exhibitsPrepare and file legal documentsOrganize and track case files, and maintain reference filesPrepare for depositions, hearings, trials and /or client meetings (includes scheduling with multiple parties including outside counciland vendors, preparing exhibits, etc.)
This role requires excellent analytical, organizational, and planning skills and a keen eye for detail for proofreading, fact-checking, and word processing. We are seeking candidates with excellent interpersonal skills who enjoy a complex litigation and trial environment and direct collaboration with attorneys/clients to push cases forward.This is a full-time overtime eligible position with a hybrid work schedule, competitive base salary, firm paid benefits, annual bonuses PTO, 401k program, and a generous PTO plan.
