Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to fill the role of Senior Director of Supply Chain.
The successful candidate will be responsible for evolving and implementing strategic initiatives to optimize our supply chain processes and enhance overall efficiency and effectiveness. This role requires a strong leader who can collaborate cross-functionally to drive continuous improvement and innovation within our supply chain operations. The position will drive process standardization throughout the enterprise to maximize savings, minimize risk and comply with procurement policy and regulations.
Responsibilities:
Strategic Planning:
Lead the development of supply chain strategies aligned with company goals and objectives. Assess current processes and identify areas for improvement to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and mitigate risks.
Analytics Strategy:
Develop and execute a comprehensive analytics strategy for the supply chain, focusing on leveraging data to drive actionable insights and decision-making. Collaborate with IT and data engineering teams to build and maintain a robust data infrastructure, ensuring access to accurate and timely supply chain data. Lead the adoption of best-in-class analytics tools and methodologies, driving a data-driven culture within the supply chain organization.
Performance Metrics:
Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the efficiency and effectiveness of the supply chain operations, and implement strategies to optimize performance.
Lean Continuous Improvement:
Champion lean principles and methodologies throughout the supply chain organization, driving a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence that is executed by front line associates and coached by leadership
Process Optimization:
Lead the Supply chain process implementation of Redwire’s ERP transformation to maximize supply chain efficiency. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify process bottlenecks, streamline workflows, and implement best practices to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
Change Management:
Lead change management efforts to ensure successful implementation of process improvements, including training, communication, and stakeholder engagement.
Team Leadership:
Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to a team of supply chain analysts and continuous improvement specialists, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability.
Vendor and Partner Relationships:
Collaborate with vendors and external partners to drive collaboration, innovation, and efficiency across the supply chain network. Develop relationships with key subcontractors and suppliers.
Risk Management:
Identify potential risks and vulnerabilities within the supply chain, develop mitigation strategies, and ensure business continuity and resilience.
Ideal Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management: Operations Research, Business Analytics, or a related field. Advanced degree (BS 18+, MBA, MS -16+, Phd 12+) preferred.
Proven experience (15+ years) in analytics, continuous improvement within the Aerospace and Defense industry.
Train and guide employees within the supply chain group
Demonstrated experience in strategic planning.
Ability to interpret complex data and drive data-driven decision-making.
Proven experience in developing and executing analytics strategies for supply chain operations, including building data infrastructure, and implementing best-in-class analytics tools.
Experience in deployment of lean methodologies.
Demonstrated success in driving process optimization and cost reduction initiatives within complex supply chain and distribution environments.
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across all levels of the organization.
Experience managing cross-functional teams and leading change management initiatives.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and effectively manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously.
Experience establishing procurement process to pass and maintain a Certified Purchasing System Review.
Experience with Government Property audits and materials management to maintain supply chain inventory and records.
Knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS) to include Export Control Requirements (ITAR/EAR).
Resolve issues such as delays in delivery, parts quality, and logistics.
Develop and implement safety guidelines in all aspects of shipping and receiving, material control and planning.
Frequent travel to meet with staff, vendors and partners anticipated.

Pay Range
$190,000 - $237,000/yr.

Redwire
determines pay for positions using local, national, and industry-specific survey data, for our locations throughout the US. We will evaluate external equity and the cost of labor/prevailing wage index, in the relative marketplace for jobs directly comparable to jobs within our company.
For new hires, we strive to make competitive offers allowing the new employee room for future growth.
Salaries will be based on the applicant’s level of experience, education, and specialized knowledge and skills. Additionally, we consider the external market rate, the amount we have budgeted internally, and internal equity within the company for the same position. An employee/candidate with a stronger skill set will be considered for higher pay.
