The Director of Supply Chain Management is responsible for overseeing and optimizing the entire supply chain process to ensure efficient, cost-effective, and timely production and delivery of goods. This role involves managing logistics and all procurement while leading a team to develop and implement strategies that align with the company's operational and financial goals. The Director will collaborate with various departments, including production, sales, and finance, to meet business objectives and customer demands.
Key Responsibilities :Supply Chain Strategy : Develop, implement, and continuously refine supply chain strategies that align with business goals, focusing on efficiency, cost control, risk mitigation, and customer satisfaction.Procurement & Vendor Management:
Oversee the sourcing, negotiation, and management of suppliers and vendors to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement of materials and services while maintaining quality standards.Inventory Control:
Design and implement inventory level management strategies to balance cost and availability, minimize waste, and maintain optimal stock levels to meet production demands.Team Leadership & Development:
Lead, mentor, and develop the supply chain team. Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and accountability.Collaboration & Cross-Functional Communication:
Work closely with production, finance, engineering and sales departments to ensure seamless communication and coordination of supply chain activities. Provide supply chain insights to aid in financial forecasting, budgeting, and operational planning.Risk Management:
Identify and mitigate risks in the supply chain, such as supplier disruptions, material shortages, and geopolitical issues, by developing contingency plans.Data Analytics & Reporting:
Utilize data analytics to monitor supply chain performance, identify areas for improvement, and generate regular reports on key performance indicators (KPIs), including costs, lead times, on-time delivery rates, and inventory levels.Technology & Systems Optimization:
Oversee the implementation and utilization of supply chain software and systems (ERP, WMS, etc.) to enhance visibility, coordination, and performance across the supply chain.Compliance:
Ensure that all supply chain operations comply with applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards (e.g., safety, environmental, trade compliance).Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).Minimum of 10 years of experience in supply chain management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role in a manufacturing environment.2+ years International Supply Chain experience.Proven track record of successfully managing complex supply chain operations and improving performance metrics.Strong knowledge of procurement, logistics, inventory management, and distribution processes.Familiarity with supply chain management software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or other ERP systems).Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.Strong leadership and team management abilities with a focus on mentorship and talent development.Effective communication and negotiation skills, with experience working with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies.**Note- we are not accepting resumes from outside recruiting agencies for this role**
