The Marriott Orlando Downtown is seeking an experienced Human Resource Manager to join our team. Situated in the heart of downtown, Marriott Orlando Downtown acts as the city's entertainment hub. The hotel has 293 guest rooms, and 4 Suites in addition to over 15, 992 square feet of flexible banquet and meeting space
This position will be an exempt position and is 100% on-site. In addition this position will report to the both the General Manager and the Regional Director of Human Resources.
The Marriott Orlando Downtown Team is focused on employee morale and compliance in addition to recruiting the right talent pool. Job Responsibilities:
Promote HR programs to create an efficient and conflict-free workplace.Assist in talent acquisition and recruitment processes.Assist in the development and implementation of human resource policies.Enhance job satisfaction by resolving issues promptly and initiating employee engagement activities.Monitor and assign brand standards and corporate hotel related training.Assist in providing backup to on-boarding for new employees by providing information packets, reviewing company policies and payroll information, explaining benefit programs, and obtaining document signatures.Prepare payroll by calculating and entering pay into ADP Workforce Now, distributing checks, and maintaining payroll records.Maintain employee human resources records by recording the hiring, transfer, termination, change in job classifications, and merit increase dates, as well as tracking vacation, sick, and personal time.Assist in administering employee benefits programs, medical insurance, and disability programs by advising employees of eligibility, providing application information, helping with form completion, verifying submission, and notifying employees of approvals.Document and track human resources actions by completing forms, reports, logs, and records.Accomplish human resources department and organization mission by completing related results as needed.With Regional HRD, ensures compliance with labor regulations.Qualifications/Skills:
2-4 years proven experience in HR management Required.Understanding of general human resources policies and proceduresGood knowledge of employment/labor lawsExcellent communication and people skillsAptitude in problem-solvingRequired Experience in ADP Workforce NowOutstanding knowledge of MS Office in addition to HRIS Systems (Hireology) will be a plus.Desire to work as a team with a results-driven approach.Additional HR training (e.g., SHRM-CP) will be a plus Education and Experience Requirements:Bachelor's degree in a related academic field and/or work equivalent is Required.
