Completions DB Specialist (Loop Folder Development)

KBR’s Sustainable Technology Solutions (STS) group is looking for a Completions Instrument Specialist to support the multi-billion-dollar Plaquemines project developing a Liquid Natural Gas export facility when fully developed will have an export capacity of up to 20 million metric tonnes per year. The facility’s location is about 20 miles south of New Orleans. This project is expected to be a multi-phase project spanning two years.

Aligning with KBR’s commitment to sustainability, the 630-acre site located on the Mississippi River provides deep-water access without the need for dredging, allowing for an expedited environmentally friendly development process.

This position is contingent upon having a current/valid TWIC card or having the ability to renew or obtain a TWIC card. The TWIC card must be kept current and maintained through employment.

The Completions Instrument Specialist will support the Commissioning Group and contribute to the development of the master instrument index from takeoffs of vendor P&IDs, and collation of all available indices. This position will assist in commissioning activities and contribute to development and review of functional test procedures, and cause and effect validation procedures.

Must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident

Responsibilities:

Vet loop folders for accuracy and consistency

Scope highlight drawings within loop folders

Technical supervision and planning for instrument technicians performing loop checks

Progress reporting on loop checking activities and issues

Prioritization of loop check activities based on schedule requirements

Identification of any bottlenecks, and resolution of issues associated with completion of loop checks

Coordinate with multiple disciplines and vendors to identify and resolve issues

All other duties as required

Experience & Skills (preferably within the energy or LNG sector):

Conducting and coordinating loop check activities

Past work in this role or similar role on large-scale projects

Additional Qualifications:

In lieu of formal education 12 + years of related experience with average experience ranging from 14 – 18 years

Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field

4 + years of related experience with average experience ranging from 6 – 10 years
