JOB SUMMARY:

Under the direct supervision of the Unit/Department Manager, this position is assigned supervisory and clinical responsibilities of the nursing unit/department and staff related to the coordination and operation of the department/unit. Team member responsibilities include leading, supervising, and influencing the daily operational activities associated with the assigned team. Supports the overall business plan by monitoring team performance and outcomes relative to established goals/measurements. Participates in rotational on-call duties including, but not limited to, responding to emergency situations, maintenance malfunctions, or staffing situations that require coverage.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor's Degree in Nursing; in lieu of a Bachelor's Degree, an Associate's Degree in Nursing and current enrollment in a BSN program with expected graduation date within 2 years from date of hire or transfer will be accepted.

3 years of experience

Must have prior leadership experience or be a team member on the department/unit for which candidate is applying

California RN License

Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers, issued by the American Heart Association (All units)

PALS Certification (AHA): Hematology Oncology, Outpatient; Proton Therapy; Pediatric ICU/Critical Care; Cardiothoracic ICU; PACU; MRI; Emergency Department (ED); Infusion Center, Central Support

PALS or PEARS Certification (AHA): Surgical 3E, Inpatient; Medical Units, Inpatient; Medical Behavioral Unit, Inpatient; Hematology Oncology, Inpatient; Operating Room; Urgent Cares

NRP Certification (NICU Only)

ACLS Certification within 12 months of hire/transfer (ED Only)

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Master's Degree

5 years of experience

Bilingual in Spanish

The expected hiring range for this position is $74.51 to $102.45
