Overview
Acts as liaison between the Dartmouth-Hitchcock and Dartmouth Health Boards of Trustees, and Group Practice Council. Provides day-to-day coordination and linkage between the Office of the CEO’s vision and the networking, advocacy and strategic initiatives brought forth within the volunteer leadership scope. Works as part of the Team of Excellence.
Responsibilities
Acts as the primary point of contact and gatekeeper for volunteer community leaders. This includes members of the Boards of Trustees, Group Practice Council, and Office of Governance and Leadership.
Acts as a liaison between the Executive team, Boards of Trustees, external community stakeholders and partners.
Facilitates and engineers meeting, events and functions.
Manages correspondence and communication on behalf of the constituents.
Coordinates recruitment efforts to increase membership and organize new member orientation sessions. Plans and implements additional volunteer leader events and programs.
Conducts background research and information gathering.
Designs and implements communications for the various web-pages for the Boards of Trustees, and Group Practice Council.
Maintains membership databases.
Performs other duties as required or assigned.
Qualifications
Associate’s degree with a minimum of 3 years of experience (at least 2 of which are supporting an executive or comparable level position) or the equivalent in education and experience required.
BA or BS preferred.
Required proficiency in Microsoft Office: Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills required.
The ability to work independently, assess priorities and organize workload required.
Must have the ability to take initiative, but also coordinate in a team.
Must have ability to recognize, set and fulfill high standards and have strong attention to detail.
