Toll Brothers, America's leading luxury home builder, seeks a Purchasing Intern for our division office located in Novi, Michigan.

In this role, the Purchasing Intern will work with the Purchasing Team to assist in seeking out new trade partners, reviewing bids, setting up analysis and/or budget worksheets, estimating and providing takeoffs, reviewing scopes of work, and flagging contract holes.

Other responsibilities include:

  • Understanding cost reductions, cost recommendations, and model rebates
  • Processing custom options
  • Building relationships with regionally contracted vendors
  • Gaining exposure in trade description contracting
  • Updating contracts

Qualifications

We seek students currently enrolled in their Junior or Senior year majoring in purchasing, procurement, supply chain, or a related field, and are interested in gaining hands-on industry experience prior to graduation. The ideal candidate has strong coordination, time management, interpersonal, and analytical skills. Basic knowledge of the current construction market, ability to review contacts, and negotiating skills is a plus!

Candidates must have reliable transportation as they will be asked to attend meetings in the division office and local communities during the day.
