Job Description
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Understands and responds to internal guests needs. Communicates in a friendly, respectful and understandable manner. Politely gives consistent, timely and accurate information and finds answer when unsure. Uses outlined service behaviors when encountering guests. Meets expected service delivery times as defined by department's service standards or as required by receiver of service or goods. Is a team player, cooperates with employees within the department as well as other departments. Speaks positively about the company, co-workers and guests. Analyzes daily revenue for casino, as well as non-gaming areas. Traces documentation to summaries. Performs difficult and complex audit work in connection with the preparation and maintenance of financial reports. Applies knowledge and understanding of audit procedures towards the goal of assisting the Casino Accounting Supervisor in the training of new employees. Maintains the necessary internal controls required to safeguard the property's assets and integrity, utilizing company guidelines. Prepares and reviews month-end journal entries and the gaming tax return. Reviews the work of the Gaming Auditor I and coordinates special projects at the request of management. Ensures compliance with existing internal and external income control policies and procedures pertaining to one or more operational areas. Assembles, audits, posts and prepares various detailed accounting reports for departmental review and/or incorporates audit information into more complex reports according to established policies and procedures. Checks work and reports unusual variances and discrepancies via verbal and/or written reports. Monitors and reports all items which do not fall within sound auditing and/or accounting procedures. Reports deviations from company procedure to the Supervisor. Prepares analyses as requested. Participates in reading slot machine meters. Institutes and documents control procedures for issuance and redemption of all coupons and tickets by computerized system. Maintains a daily and monthly reconciliation analyzing all outstanding items. Works in conjunction with operating departments in the institution of new coupon programs. Investigates and reports any discrepancies with outlined control procedures. Responsible for ordering and security of all coupons and tickets. Retrieves records for document searches requested via phone or email by property departments and centralized Accounting department in Las Vegas. Sorts and files daily paperwork in boxes and label boxes appropriately. Scan coupons, journal entries and any other documents as needed. Inputs data into excel spreadsheets. Responsible for maintenance of effective organized system of records storage which allows for quick, easy access to information. Assists with the lifting, storage and maintenance of departmental records in accordance with the company's retention policy. Completes special assignments for management as requested. Participates in the supervision, operation and/or support of Caesars multi-casino Bad Beat system.
EDUCATION/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
College degree in business preferred, but not required. High school diploma or GED certificate required. Minimum two years auditing or related experience required. Ability to read and write English. Must be able to demonstrate proficiency in basic computer skills. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Position requires a gaming license.
