We have a contractor opportunity with a Pomeroy client for an onsite IT Support Technician in Mason, OH. The IT Support Technician will provide support and excellent customer service for technical infrastructure including Windows devices, mobile devices, desk phones, printers, networking devices, end user applications and services. Essential Job Functions: Troubleshoot end user connectivity to the network, hardwired and wireless. Trace Network cable in closets Work with NOC to get wireless up and running if it goes down. Auditing network closets Reroute tickets to correct assignment groups Support projects on new floors and vendors Provides user support for computer systems and standard corporate software products. Provides comprehensive local and remote technical support for corporate colleagues. Configure and install a broad range of new and used computer equipment and peripherals. Troubleshoot an assortment of technical issues with the assistance of peers and vendors. Assist in moving, adding or changing user workstations and peripherals as needed. Effectively prioritize support issues and tasks by documenting assigned help desk requests and following up on unresolved issues. Provides support for operating systems, virus scanning, malware and spyware removal, data recovery, and proper archive procedures. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: 2 years of hands on experience as onsite IT support Experience in providing hands & feet support for network and data center equipment Strong Microsoft Operating System installation(Win10/11) and troubleshooting skills Strong experience in troubleshooting MS office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.) Strong desktop support knowledge including hardware, software, and networking concepts Strong skills in Desktops, Workstations, Notebooks and Printers and Handhelds Basic understanding of Audio/Video equipment and conference room setup User account creation for Active Directory, Exchange Mailboxes, Distribution lists Remote desktop connectivity applications like SMS, Bomgar, Live Meeting, and Windows Native tools tool. Escalations Troubleshoot and assist end users with mobile device setup, activations, and performance issues. Handheld - Android & IOS support knowledge
