Our mission is to provide the best services in the most inclusive environments to encourage persons to fulfill their individual potential through evidence-based treatment, advocacy, and community education.WHAT YOU WILL BRING19 years of age or older.High School Diploma or equivalent education.Hold or attain a Paraprofessional licensure for Illinois.Valid Illinois Driver’s license.Successful background clearance, physical, agility test, and drug/alcohol screening.Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry 50 pounds.Ability to stand, walk, grasp, reach, stoop, crouch, crawl, and run.WHAT YOU WILL DOSupport students in a classroom setting at the Hope Learning Academy and complete appropriate data tracking and entry.Provide instruction and assistance that meets students’ Individual Education Plan (IEP) goals and objectives.Encourage student independence while following the classroom schedule and implementing educational programs.Foster a stimulating, accepting, and safe learning environment for all students.WHAT WE PREFERAssociate’s or Bachelor’s degree in an education or human services related field.Experience working with people with developmental disabilities.Classroom setting experience.WHAT YOU WILL GET$18.30/hour compensationHealth, dental, vision, and life insurance.Short & long term disability.Tuition reimbursement & 401(k).
