Strategic Initiative Business Analyst at Oracle in Boise, Idaho, United States Job Description Job Description Strategic Initiative Business Analyst Location: United States Travel: Up to 25% No visa sponsorship is available for this position. This is an opportunity to support the General Manager and executive team of the global industry units to assist in development and communication of strategic cross-functional initiatives in the global industry units (GIUs). The successful candidate will understand strategy and business objectives as well as the building blocks that contribute to our organization's success. The ideal candidate for this role will have an operational and strategic background, extraordinary executive communication skills and a talent for inquiry and learning new concepts quickly. In this role, this strategic business analyst will work collaboratively with various functions across the organization including finance, operations, development, product strategy and sales to build and communicate new proposals, recommendations and reports on behalf of industry executives. The successful candidate will be able to conduct intense financial and operational analyses, find the conclusions in the data and be able to build a set of written communications in which the business story can be conveyed. Strong candidates will be accustomed to working at a fast pace under tight deadlines. Oracle organizational knowledge and experience is useful but not required. Activities required include conducting information gathering sessions, gathering data from a variety of sources, developing financial and operational analyses and executive level communication through expert collaboration and intelligent inquiry. Projects may include target market identification, go-to-market planning, pricing strategy analysis, competitive environment analysis, quarterly business review preparation and new initiative proposals. To be considered for this role, evidence of strategic plan creation, development and presentation of executive communication materials and complex financial analysis will be required. Extraordinary Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel skills are critical. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate: + 6+ years of relevant experience in corporate financial, operational roles or management consulting. + Expert analytical and communication skills with expertise in relevant software tools. + Ability to produce high-quality internal executive deliverables including charts, presentation materials, executive briefings and reports with tight timelines. + Ability to build strong working relationships with internal stakeholders and customers and work with a highly collaborative style. + Creativity and independent judgment and ability to influence at a high level in the organization. + Ability to work with a high sense of urgency and function in a fast-paced, complex environment. Emphasis will be given to the candidate who demonstrates productive experience in the following areas: + Technology Industry experience is strongly preferred. + Demonstrated interactions with senior levels of an organization. + Ability to actively seek and incorporate feedback. + Management consulting background is preferred. + MBA is strongly preferred. During the selection process, you will be asked to produce and discuss samples of your work including presentations and data analysis projects. This position will be based in the US but the successful candidate may be expected to work outside of normal business hours due to the global focus of work and the need to accommodate colleagues in other time zones. This position may be suitable for a partially remote worker. Ability to travel as needed is required but not expected to be more than 25% of time. Range and benefit information provided in this posting are specific to the stated locations only US: Hiring Range: from $73,800 to $178,200 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.
