(GISI), the parent company of The LiRo Group and Hill International, Inc. consolidated a portion of the highly experienced staff of both LiRo and Hill in the Northeast to create a larger, more efficient, and cost-effective team to serve clients. LiRo-Hill is a 1100-person firm with offices in NYC, Long Island, Buffalo, Rochester, Boston and Metro Park, NJ.The client for this project is for the Office of General Services.Please provide references upon resume submission.
Responsibilities
Inspect construction work to ensure compliance with building standards and project specificationsInspect all material upon arrival to the jobsite to ensure complianceReview plans to identify potential violationsDocument inspections and report any issuesDetermine the quality of materials being used throughout testing
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in engineering or construction management a plusMinimum six (6) years of experience in building construction tradesMinimum four (4) years of experience as a Construction Inspector including inspection of site/civil is required.OSHA 30 hr.Proficiency with web-based submittal collaboration systemsConstruction scheduling knowledge to support project teamExperience with the Uniform Code and NYC Supplement is preferredKnowledge of construction materials, methods, and proceduresAbility to maintain field and office records and perform quantity computationsExperience reading and interpreting plans and specificationsStrong written and oral communication skillsCollaborate with multiple team membersAbility and coordination to safely maneuver around a construction siteOur Culture:We believe in the power of collaboration.
