As a Specialist, Systems Engineer, you will contribute to a diverse technical team on the MOSSAIC Space Surveillance Telescope (SST) team. This position supports the Space & Airborne Systems (SAS) division, a great team of talented professionals with world class technical expertise who take a collaborative approach to engineering and enjoy working together. In this position, you will bring your systems engineering background to a system engineering role where you can make a broad impact to programs and projects that are critical to our customers!
Essential Functions:
As a Specialist, Systems Engineer on the SST team, you will be expected to work with procurement systems and possess an understanding of System Installation efforts.Develop and maintain physical, functional, and technical requirements, to include interface specificationsComplete requirements elicitation, derivation, and decompositionPerform mission analysis with skill developing use cases, sequence diagrams, and SysML models in support of MBSEInterpret and modify engineering drawingsParticipate as an integrated team supporting sustainment and modernization of the Space Surveillance Telescope (SST) systemPossess excellent communication and presentation skills and the ability to work harmoniously in a team environment with government customers and other contractorsAbility to negotiate solutions among functional groups (Systems Engineering, Mission Engineering, Software Engineering, etc.)Proven analytical and troubleshooting skills demonstrated by related work experienceStrong coordination and organization skills with a focus on detailsProficient with domain knowledge (space systems engineering, ground optical systems, general systems)Participate in agile execution, MBSE, and requirements analysis.Possess interpersonal leadership skills with support to customers, including meetings and briefings.Possess DoD engineering experience, System Development Life Cycle knowledge, Familiarity with DoD 5000.Experience with DoD Systems Engineering artifacts (SEP, SEMP, TEMP, CMP, DMP).Experience with INCOSE requirements writing guide.Qualifications :
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or adjacent fields and a minimum of 4 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience.Active Secret security clearance.Preferred Additional Skills:
Rational DOORs experienceExperience with Electro-OptisCAD software experienceMagicDraw experienceExperience with Agile methodsExperience with Jira softwareSystem Development Life Cycle knowledgeExperience with and knowledge of Space Domain Awareness mission and systemsExperience with Engineering Drawings and traceability MagicDrawIn compliance with Colorado's Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the salary range for this role in Colorado is $74,000.00 - $138,000.00 (salary ranges in other locations could differ). This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
