As a Lead, Systems Engineer, you will contribute to a diverse technical team on the MOSSAIC Space Surveillance Telescope (SST) team. This position supports the Space & Airborne Systems (SAS) division, a great team of talented professionals with world class technical expertise who take a collaborative approach to engineering and enjoy working together. In this position, you will bring your systems engineering background to a system engineering role where you can make a broad impact to programs and projects that are critical to our customers!
Essential Functions:
Experience with DoD Contracting and Research & Development, specifically with military manual development (TMs or TOs)Able to obtain Security+ certificationUnderstanding of electro-optical data productsBackground with image processing (i.e., pixel processing and fidelity)Familiarity and understanding of Orbital MechanicsExperience with communications software and GUIsDraft Test ProceduresExperience with and understanding of Space Domain Awareness mission and systemsAbility to teach and mentor junior engineersFamiliarity with Systems Engineering Requirements ValidationCreate/maintain unique operating systemsTrack correlated and uncorrelated targets up to GEO within Space Acquisition programsCorrelate hardware specifications with software requirements to support System Sustainment IAW DoDI 5000.02Serve as a lead technical integrator of multiple engineering disciplinesExcellent communication and presentation skills and the ability to work harmoniously in a team environment with government customers and other contractorsProven analytical and troubleshooting skills demonstrated by related work experienceProficient with domain knowledge (space systems engineering, ground optical systems, general systems)Participate in MBSE and requirements analysis.Possess DoD engineering experience, System Development Life Cycle knowledge, Familiarity with DoD 5000.Experience with DoD Systems Engineering artifacts (SEP, SEMP, TEMP, CMP, DMP).Experience with INCOSE requirements writing guide.Travel, including international (up to 10%)Qualifications :
Bachelor's Degree and minimum 9 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of prior related experience.Active US government secret security clearance.Preferred Additional Skills:
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or adjacent field.Familiarity with the Agile processExperience with Engineering Drawings and traceability MagicDrawRational DOORsSysML/MBSEIn compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role is $106,500.00 - $197,500.00. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
