The Alaska Department of Fish and Game, Division of Sport Fish is recruiting for an Analyst Programmer 2/3/4 Flex located in Anchorage!
What you will be doing:As a member of the Sport Fish Research and Technical Services Programming group you will serve as a lead, co-lead or general programmer on several Sport Fish data collection and management projects. You will be fully or partially responsible for all phases of the software life cycle for a diverse set of applications and datasets using a number of different languages and technologies such as Coldfusion, Java, Angular, SQL, JS, C# and .NET. This position provides regular unique challenges that require out of the box thinking and creativity with applications and datasets that can range from complex multi-layer web applications to simple single user data collection apps. Expect to work with a dynamic group of personnel and contractors with varying levels of technical skills and knowledge. This is a flex position and training, education, and mentorship will be provided to cover areas of inexperience.

Represent the Division of Sport Fish concerning departmental applications and systems while working with ADF&G staff, OIT and contractors to develop datasets, applications, and services.Coordinate with staff and the Office of Information Technology (OIT) to ensure performance, file storage and IT infrastructure capabilities of servers are appropriate to support Division needs.
