Registered Nurse, Medical-SurgicalGuaranteed Hours: 36 (will accept 48 upon request)Primary location: GatewayPatient Population: Neuro and Neuro-Surgical patients – CVAs, elective back/neck surgeries, post-op cranis, cerebral angiogram. General medical and psych.Unit Information: 37 beds. Ratio: Days 1:5-6; NOCs 1:5-7; CN takes partial patient assignment.Unit Strengths: Excellent leadership - manager has been with the organization since 2012 and managing the unit since 2020. Minimum Experience REQUIRED: Two years of strong Med/Surg, 1 travel assignment, trauma level II experience.Charting Experience: Recent EPIC experience required (will be required to do a checkoff class)Skillset: NIHSS/dysphagia screen/strong Neuro assessments, basic tele interpretation, strict I’s & O’s/straight cath/Foleys, initiate/titrate heparin gtts., blood/blood product administration/venipuncture/blood cultures, NG tubes, indwelling drain management, stable gtts. (i.e. Protonix, Lasic, etc.). Must have strong assessment and critical thinking skills!Schedule Information
Shift Requirement: 12hr Nights 6:30-7, every weekendWeekend/Holiday Requirement: Every weekend. Every other holiday.Unit Specific Information
