Position Summary
Interviews patients upon admission to the Hospital; records necessary personal information, secures required signatures; prepares and supplies patient data to various hospital departments.
Key Responsibilities:Conducts personal interview to obtain required demographic and insurance information and enters into the computer.Reviews pre-admission information for accuracy and completeness.Obtains required signatures on legal consents, insurance forms, and Medicare Rights forms.Scans documents appropriately onto patient accounts.Registers or transfers newborns, clinical, surgery, observation, recurring and swingbed accounts as requested both timely and accurately.Performs other clerical duties as assigned, including filing, sorting mail, scanning and stuffing of statements.Understand and handles the Emergency Response "Codes" appropriately.Qualifications:
High School Diploma, or equivalentGood computer skillsExcellent verbal communication and professional phone skillsAbility to lift up to 15 lbs.Healthcare experience/medical terminology preferredSchedule:
16hrs/2wksEvery other Saturday and Sunday, 5:00am-1:00pmBenefits:
