This position will independently serve as NC Department of Adult Correction (NC DAC)

egional Recruiter (Agency HR Consultant I)
to initiate and carry out recruitment initiatives in the specified Region or specified area of expertise in order to plan, coordinate, and facilitate recruitment to our certified vacancies within NC DAC. These positions will recruit for and source qualified candidates and work well with Agency Administration, Institutional leadership, Facility Administrators, Community Supervision District Staff and leadership, and other working units and hiring teams within NC DAC to plan and facilitate special recruitment hiring events, candidate sourcing and engagement, metrics and reporting, etc. to target outstanding candidates for jobs such as: Correctional Officers, Probation/Parole Officers, Administrative, Trades, Engineering, and other positions as deemed necessary.
Other responsibilities may include but not limited to:Collaborating and developing working relationships with colleges and universities as well as professional boards, commissions, and/or associations to plan and facilitate recruitment initiatives and options for hiring event venues.Gathering information for recruitment and retention issues in order to provide feedback to Central HR on what is working well and what areas need improvement within the area of Recruitment.Participating in and attending NC DAC-specific career and hiring events as well as community job fairs and networking events.Speaking directly with senior college students and in their classes in regard to career opportunities within NC DACPreparing presentations, both on paper and using Microsoft PowerPoint, as well as developing and maintaining spreadsheets for applicant and position tracking purposes.Utilizing advertising, marketing, social media, professional associations, and other sources to promote certain positions.Communicating effectively, both verbally and in writing, with applicants, internal and external stakeholders, and management both individually and in front of large audiences at all levels of the organization.These are full-time, permanent positions (40 hours per week) with These positions have a direct reporting role with Recruitment Supervisor/Lead for training, recruitment efforts, and specialized recruitment needs in "hard to recruit for" positions. Travel will be required with some overnight stays, additionally, overtime on evenings and weekends may occur. Regional Travel maybe upwards of 70-80%. A State Vehicle will be provided for approved travel in addition to other tools necessary to fulfill the expectations of the position such as a state vehicle, state laptop, state cell phone, printer, gas (WEX) card, recruiting materials and displays, etc.

Beaufort, Bertie, Camden, Chowan, Currituck, Dare, Edgecombe, Gates, Greene, Halifax, Hertford, Hyde, Johnston County, Martin, Northampton, Pamlico, Pasquotank, Perquimans, Pitt, Tyrrell, Washington,
and possible other surrounding counties.
Travel for the position maybe 80% on average. A state Vehicle will be provided, and some overnight stay, weekend and evening weekday may be required due to business needs.
