A Chicago-based Financial Services Organization is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Senior Accountant with strong organizational skills to join our team. In this role, you will manage accounting functions while contributing to the overall efficiency of the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting:
Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.General Ledger Management:
Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial data.Accounts Payable/Receivable:
Oversee the accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring timely invoicing and payments.Expense Management and Reporting:
Approve expenses and ensure they are correctly allocated.Budgeting and Forecasting:
Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts; analyze variances and prepare reports for management.Tax Compliance:
Prepare and file tax returns and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.Audit Coordination:
Coordinate with external auditors during the annual audit process, providing necessary documentation and support.Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.5+ years of experience in accounting, preferably in the investment or financial services industry.Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting requirements.Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite) and Microsoft Excel.Excellent organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.Strong verbal and written communication skills.This is a great opportunity for an experienced Accounting professional who is looking to contribute to the organization. $100,000.00 Annually to $110,000.00 Annually
