* This person will help with managing user stories - mixture of writing these themselves and partnering with the others.* When the backlog is created the PO and Prod Manager run with the user story.* As the projects progress, some tickets are sub-tasks. Scrum Master will sometimes write a user story if it's going to bog others down with unnecessary work.* If a dev creates a user story or bug, they're going to enter that info in and track it. Wants the SM to know about the bug, take a look at it, and ensure it's easy to understand for others as well as tie an estimation to it.* Once that's done they go to the PO, tells them how it does or doesn't impact the team capacity.* Will be running daily scrum ceremonies.* Understand sprint velocity and team capacity.* Look at user stories and say that's too vague, then go out and help get the info needed.* Also looking for someone who can drive the team within sprints to set up sprint goals - outcome should be able to put some code into production by the end of the sprint.* They are using these teams as a model for how they want to improve their Agile methodology across the org, and this person will be helping lead this charge as well.*Candidate characteristics:*
* Technology awareness / understanding with the ability to lead the team forward.* Strong communication skills (verbal, written, cross-functional team).* Demonstrate ability to work with teams using agile methodologies.*Role Expectations:*
* This person will be a gatekeeper for user stories and other cards - the Product Owner and Product Manager have primary responsibility for user stories. As the projects progress, if stories or tasks need clarification, the SM should drive and update.* The SM should be able to evaluate bug reports to ensure they are easy to understand.* Drive story/bug estimates and communicate the impact to the current iteration/roadmap and capacity planning*Skills:*Scrum, Agile, Agile methodology, Scrum methodology, Sprint, release planning, User stories, Jira*Experience Level:*Expert Levelo Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
