clearance to be considered.As required by our governmental client, this position requires being a US Citizen.Cherokee Federal is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Data Analyst to join our team, supporting IRS high speed scanning and digitalization innovation, as well as business and technology transformation engagements with other federal clients.Compensation & Benefits:Estimated Starting Salary Range for
Senior Consultant, Senior Data Analyst : $150,000- $170,000. Pay commensurate with experience.Full time benefits include Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K and other possible benefits as provided. Benefits are subject to change with or without notice.Senior Consultant, Senior Data Analyst Responsibilities Include:Conduct quantitative data analysis and synthesize results for dissemination to an array of partners and stakeholders.Provide data analysis support to a variety of use cases, including employee survey/sentiment analysis, budget and financial analysis, operations research, evaluation of federal programs, etc.Develop data visualization products and business intelligence reporting tools such as executive dashboards, forecasting models, special studies, and portfolio management tools in support of functional teams (e.g., business strategy, human capital and organizational transformation, workforce analysis, budget analysis, technology portfolio management, etc.) for external and internal audiences.Create data pipelines. ETL of data from data warehouses and other data sources. Cleanse, prepare, manipulate data of various types and formats to be used in data visualization products.Understand ‘big picture’ and understand and anticipate business requirements and actionable insights needed by clients. Help translate business requirements into quantitative or qualitative data analytics and technical requirements and create analytics solutions to achieve business results. Iterate with clients to optimize analysis.Perform non-routine and complex assignments, based on dynamic client needs. Take the initiative and lead junior consultants to develop analytics solutions.Senior Consultant (Senior Data Analyst) Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities requested:Required:Bachelor’s or master’s degree in STEM fields: mathematics, statistics, engineering, computer science, physics, biology, chemistry, economics, finance, or other quantitative fields. Bachelor’s with proven experience (5+ years) or Master’s degree with 2+ years of work experience.Minimum of 1-2 years of experience with data visualization, statistical methods, data science tools, data analytics, tools for large datasets, and working with performance measures.Minimum of 1-2 years of experience with Extract-Transform-Load (ETL) of large datasets of varying platforms, formats, and types.Minimum of 5 years of experience with data visualization and analysis skills by sharing work sample or portfolio (e.g., Github profile) and/or technical certification (e.g., Tableau Desktop Professional, etc.).Proficiency in leading data visualization tools, including Tableau Desktop/Prep, Microsoft PowerBI/Power Apps, Qlik, or equivalent.Minimum of 4 years of experience in Excel (either academic or professional).Minimum of 5 years of experience with open-source data analysis tools and languages, including:Creating SQL queries to analyze structured data.Proficiency in programming languages for cleansing, manipulating, analyzing data and automation of tasks using Python and/or R (and associated tools and packages).Experience building data models and data analysis or data visualization tools or products.Organizational skills demonstrating high attention to detail and the ability to organize multiple priorities.Ability to learn and master new data analytics-related technology tools and platforms.Capacity to be a liaison between IRS data custodians, technology staff, and functional domain experts.Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences.Must be a US Citizen to qualify for IRS MBI clearance.This position must acquire IRS MBI clearance.Must pass pre-employment qualifications of Cherokee Federal.Preferred but not required:Previous experience supporting IRS or equivalent federal agency preferred.Experience or ability to learn software development-related tools such as Azure, AWS, Jira, Github.Knowledge of research methods, statistical theory, and techniques; social theory, principles, and problems.Company Information:Cherokee Nation Operation Solutions (CNOS)
