Washington DC Metro with up to 25% travel to Ogden, UT and other sitesAs required by our governmental client, this position requires being a US Citizen.Cherokee Federal is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Consultant (Infrastructure Engineer) to join our team, supporting IRS high speed scanning and digitalization innovation, as well as business and technology transformation engagements with other federal clients.The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of the scanning technologies, especially related to hardware devices, networks, and their integration with document management systems and image processing software.Compensation & Benefits:Estimated Starting Salary Range for
Senior Consultant, Infrastructure Engineer : $185,000 - $215,000. Pay commensurate with experience.Full-time benefits include Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K and other possible benefits as provided. Benefits are subject to change with or without notice.Senior Consultant, Infrastructure Engineer Responsibilities Include:Review the hardware (scanners, servers, networking) and software infrastructure, ensuring it can handle high volumes and proposing improvements where necessary.Evaluate hardware and physical mail handling logistics.Advise on how to optimize the performance of existing hardware and software systems architecture.Evaluate and make recommendations on vendor technologies related to OCR, image processing, document management, and data processing.Senior Consultant, Infrastructure Engineer Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities:Required Skills and Abilities:Bachelor’s or master’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.Minimum of 5+ years of experience in supporting high-speed data processing operations.Minimum of 5+ years of experience in redundancy, uptime, and system reliability best practices.Minimum of 5+ years of experience in IT infrastructure in an enterprise or federal environment (servers, storage, networking).Minimum of 5+ years of experience working with federal agencies or complex, large-scale business operations.Ability to learn and gain proficiency in new software technologies and platforms that are relevant to client’s scanning operations and data integration efforts.Organizational skills demonstrating high attention to detail and the ability to organize multiple priorities.Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences.Must be a US Citizen to obtain clearance. Will not accept candidates who are not US Citizens due to clearance requirements.This position requires an active

clearance to be considered.Must pass pre-employment qualifications of Cherokee Federal.Preferred but not required:Knowledge of scanning technologies and document management systems (DMS).Familiarity with Optical Character Recognition (OCR) and image processing software.Knowledge of cloud-based data solutions (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and hybrid architectures with on-prem (mainframe, servers) a plus.Experience with high-speed scanning and digitization operations a plus.Previous experience supporting IRS or equivalent federal agency preferred.Expertise in federal technology compliance and cybersecurity standards (DoDAF, FISMA, FedRAMP, NIST).Company Information:Cherokee Nation Solution Link (CNSL)
